At 9 Colors Initiative, we believe in the importance of providing a sense of belonging and community for everyone, including those who are unsheltered, financially destitute, or facing challenges with employment timing or travel restrictions. That's why we host our annual Frenzgiving program, in partnership with local organizations and our generous food sponsor, to create a warm and inclusive community dinner that is open to the public, completely free of charge. The Ballroom scene has a rich history that dates back over 20 years in Florida, originating in NYC in the 1980s. It has since spread throughout the country and sections of the world. In the ballroom scene, members belong to different "houses," which are like ballroom families, providing a safe haven or belonging, affirming their interests or identities.
